Club scrap Orchard Kit Blog Hop

Hi all, welcome to the orchard club scrap blog hop! So glad to have you here
:) if you are hopping along with us then you are here from hetty’s blog  or if you get lost along the way or want to start at the beginning head to Karen’s club scrap post.
For this page i love thosed watercolored pumpkins on the  8 1/2 x11 paper so i trimmed it a lil bit as well as the cutaprt strip and adhered them to a brown 12 x12 piece of cardstock from the kit. Next i layered my picture with more of the burlap sheet( i am obsessed with) then a cardstock mat and a cutapart corner. Lastly i made the bottlecap embellies with the resin and caps from the kit and layered ontop of more burlap squares.next to the picture the cluster is a cardboard tag with ribbon,a bottlecap embellie ,metal rimmed tag and raffia - everything inused on my page is from the orchard kit except the burlap but all can be purchased at the club scrap shop here

Club scrap September team challenge- watercolors

Hi all, welcome to the club scrap team challenge blog hop! If you are hopping along with us then you are here from  Josette's Blog. If you get lost along the way or want to start from the beginning go to karens club scrap post .  This months team challenge is all about watercolors inspired by the beautiful watercolor art on the club scrap orchard papers. So i broke out my tray of gelatos, orchard stencil and some inks and got to it. I used some white yupo paper from the paradise kit to use as my 12 x12 base. Then with inspiration of the pic of my son i used two brown gelatos and water-brush to dab on the stencil to make a tree trunk. Then i used green to make a tree canopy and some grass at the bottom. I then thought it needed more detail so i went back over the tree trunk with the stencil and brown distress ink once it was dry. For more detail on the tree i used a leaf stamp from the color me happy kit with green ink . Lastly to complete my scene i decided the watercolor grass was too much so i tore a piece of the bright green paper from the kit and added it to the bottom overtop it. Did bright blue ink splats to match my ds shirt as well as blue heart stickers and embellishment . Then i got layering and fussy cutting happy to add around and under the picture. Lastly i added some letters and stickers from my stash to finish it.  Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!  Jen t:)

i dressed up our door for halloween;) with goodies from oriental trading

Hi all, today i am stopping by to share how i dressed up our doorway with quick and simple projects and decorations with goodies i got from oriental trading . Below is the box of goodies i got a couple weeks ago to create with:

Quick review of my ot goodies

metal pumpkin yard stake- super cute and glittery as well as sturdy-I love that it can be staked into the ground or hung on a door or gate wuth the hook on the back

Foil leaf garland- perfect length for around my doorway -great color- leaves are a lil on the small side but i made them work:)

Halloween choir rug-  nice and thick - great quality! 

Wooden pumpkin shapes- i love that it came with a bunch to use for future projects-paint went on smoothly as well 

Fall  cardstock-  nice , thick and sturdy - great value! 

Fiskars paper trimmer - love it! Cuts great! 

Small plastic treat buckets - so cute! Sturdy lil buckets

Black glitter tulle - soooo glittery!! Some glitter does come off when manipulated but expected with anything glitter
,

Disclosure- Oriental trading  has sent me products to review, but all opinions are my own

 

I first painted the wooden pumpkin with bright orange acrylic paint i had from a past project then after the orange dries i then painted the face with black paint 

For the body of the wreath i started by scoring 6 12x12 pieces of cardstock (in pics dark brown) i then changed my mind to use the orange instead) scoring at about every inch to fan fold each piece

Then glue pieces together and form it to a circle addind a large circle of another piece of cardstock to hold its shape 

 

 

 

cut approx. 6 inch strips of tulle and glue and layer

I used stickles from a past project to glitter up the pumpkin face
lastly I glued the wooden pumpkin face onto the accordion wreath

for the garland- easy peesy! I just cut strips of tulle  and tied the lil plastic pumpkins to the leaf garland
