Playing with watercolors!! So fun!

Hi all, i am really excited to share a couple of fun projects i made using goodies i got from oriental trading. The first project i made is a 4 x  6 card . I first cut the watercolor paper and folded it to make a card base. Then, i took 3 gel sticks in the green and blues and scribbled it on the card front. The gel sticks are just like a lipstick and go on really smooth. Next, I  used a water pen that i had or you can use a cup of water and a paintbrush and went over it all making it all blend as i went. i set it aside and let it dry. After i did that i stamped these super cute images( i love the girl and the dog) with  permanent ink onto the watercolor paper. Then more fun began, i began coloring with the watercolor pencils. I loved the container it came in and the quality of the pencils is excellent. I then used my water pen again to blend all the colors cleaning the brush between color changes and did the same with the dog. Lastly, i fussy cut both out and adhered it to the card and added hi with stickers from my stash. For the jumbo tag, i cut out the shape from the watercolor paper and then used the same technique with the gel sticks to make the background and black around the edges. After it was dry i stamped the saying and swirl on the tag with black permanent ink and added a metal butterfly( from my old necklace) and some crinkle ribbon at the top.  I had so much fun making these! The products i reviewed are: 

Great quality cling stamps! These come on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with holes in it for  3 ring binder storage( love that!) these stamps are super cute!! 

These stamps are my favorite saying. The are also a clear cling stamp and these came on about a 5 inch piece of acetate.  Also, great quality and both stamp sets stamped a great and crisp  image. 

The watercolor paper was nice and thick, thicker than your thickest cardstock with a slight texture to it to really hold up to the water. Love it! 

This watercolor pencils are of great quality and the colors are beautiful! They came in this cool plastic container that folds to become a stand( love this!) 

These gel sticks are so fun to use! They went on smoothly and the colors are so nice! And it came with a paint brush. 

Overall, i am extremely pleased with all the products and their performances!

Antigua-- our honeymoon page i made for SS dt

Hi all, happy tuesday! :) hope this day finds you enjoying warmer weather! .. Finally! Now i don't want to rush spring but i got the feeling of summer when i laid eyes on this collection! Love it! So i just had to make a page with a pic from out honeymoon. We stayed at sandals in antigua and it was paradise! Aww makes me want to go back.. Someday i hope! Ok , now i need to snap out of my daydream lol! And tell ya how i made my page . First i used the beach paper then layered a strip of the basket weave paper that i inked the one side to match the other and placed it in the middle.added the border stickers.  Then i took out my two fav punches a jumbo flower and swirl punch to make a big flower and layered it with a plain prima flower and a decorative brad. Next, layered the prima flowers and wood veneer flowers added a punched scalloped circle with a saying sticker i found . Lastly, i made the date and subtitle with the little letters  and word from the sticker sheet and letters from my stash to spell antigua. Have a great day and happy creating!~  Jen t. :)

Let's get-away!!!

 

Hi  all, Happy Tuesday!!!! Something you may or may not know about me is that i love making 6 x 6 cards. I make them alot. Why are they my favorite you ask. Because they are a no-brainer , you take a 12 x 12 sheet of  thick paper and cut it in half then fold. .. Wahlaa two card bases.  Today, i am sharing with you one of the two cards i made so far using the beautiful kaisercraft paridoso collection. For this card i just loved the wooden distressed look on the patterned paper, so i used that to make my base then layered on a big sticker of the parrots and the letters and word from the collection,then fussy cut out a flower from another sheet of paper and pop-dotted it to give dimension . Then i inked the edged with brown ink and added a strip of border to the bottom as well as queen & co. goosebumps in the flower centers. Happy creating! Jen t.

Dream big card i made for the ss dt

 

Hi all, happy tuesday!!!  i am stopping by to share with you another 4 x 6 card i made using the moxxie childs play collection for the speedy scrappers dt. Let me just say that i had a ton of fun with this collection! So for this card, i used the red paper from the collection and embossed it with a star embossing folder i had. i lightly inked the edged with white ink. Then, i picked out a few of the shaped die-cuts that are double-sided btw and used the pattern side of each .i then put the sticker frame from the sticker sheet and then pop-dotted the joy diecut in the center but i didnt want to use the word joy so, i added the tree sticker over top. Then, on the oval diecut i added a dream big rub- on that i found in my stash and finished it off with my diy enamal dots ,twine and taped it to a kraft card base. Happy creating. And don't forget to always dream big! :) jen t.

Free 2 B me moxxie Paperbag picture book for ss

Hi all, happy day!  i want to share a Paperbag picture book for my ds i folded two bags then covered with papers, diecuts, and stickers . Left a flap for a pocket and glued all other layers and openings to make it nice and thick.see pics below . Happy creating and have a awesome day!!  Jen t.

Hello! Card i made for the aw dt

Hi all! i love  making random  things wobble on my projects. I think it makes for a fun lil suprise for the person looking at it or receiving it.  On this 4x6 card i embossed the bella carta paper ,added the floral sticker and rubbed ctmh colonial white ink on it to make it pop. Secondly, i put a piece on yellow american crafts ribbon then a decorative echo park brad. Lastly, inked the edges with ctmh black distress ink ,then i picked the cute typewriter sticker to wobble-(tip- i added the wobble and then to destick the rest of the sticker i used baby powder) and waalaa! Let's roll birthday card for SS dt

Hi all, happy tuesday! I  am stopping by to share with you a 6 x 6 card i made using the moxxie child's play collection. I first used the blue paper to make the card base then i fussy-cut the kite with cloud out of one of the patterned papers. Secondly, i fussy cut the "mountain" out of another patterned paper and a piece of the striped patterned paper to be the "road". Lastly,i added the flourish , let's roll  from the moxxie sticker sheet , puffy card stickers and number 2 ( from my stash) . For the inside, i used one of the diecut frames and stickers from my stash to spell happy birthday. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!  Jen t.
