my christmas prayer: God of compassion, there is such a hole in my heart! Today should be a day of joy, but I feel only emptiness and loss. While the world celebrates around me, I remember Christmas celebrations of the past and I long to have my loved one with me. I bring my sorrows to you, Lord, like some odd gift of the magi and dump them at your feet. In my blind tears I wonder if anyone can possibly understand the depth of my sadness. I know, you can. You sent your son to be with us in our deepest sorrows and I know that even though I might not feel it now, you are here with me, grieving with me, caring for me in my sadness. Dearest lord, help me to turn to the one I miss so much today and speak. Help me heal the loss of our parting and help me not to regret the things I didn't say. Sorrow tears at my heart, but today I ask that my loss soften my heart and make me more compassionate with everyone I meet, so that my loss may become a gift to others. merry christmas mom! we miss ya!

i have been holiday tagged!!

hi all, happy saturday!! i have been holiday tagged by my new friend jocelyn(http://scrappinmeme.blogspot.com).Here are the rules for Holiday tag.......1) Link to the person who tagged you 2) Post the rules on your blog (copy and paste 1-6) 3) Write 6 random holiday things about yourself 4) Tag 7 people at the end of your post and link to them 5) Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog 6) Let the tagger know when your entry is up.so here it goes: 1.my favorite thing about christmas is driving around with my family and looking at the christmas lights 2.all these years the one favorite toy i remember getting is my barbie dream house...and now my daughter has my barbie house...a toy i know she will always cherish! 3.i love the santa claus is coming to town movie--i tape it and watch it every year! 4.i am so excited when my dd opens her presents so i can play with them too -i am a big kid sometimes!lol! 5..i believe in 'pay it forward' not just at the holidays--even a smile or kind gesture to someone you don't know can change someones life or day . 6.this is our first christmas without my mom :(----miss you mom! so it is really important to me to have my whole family together this year more than ever! what i have learned from #6 is that always tell the ones you love that you love them everyday--cause you never know when life is going to throw a monster snowball at you! happy holiday!! and i holiday tag: jenn z.(http://jenn-thisismenow.logspot.com),dawn (http://dawnwitt.typepad.com/the_sweet_life),val,(http://thecraftingpad.blogspot.com),jen(http://blissfulplace.blogspot.com),linda(http://dydrmlinda-thesagacontinues.blogspot.com)another blog i love is(http://blueeyeddog.wordpress.com)and samantha and romona(http://alteredartjunkies.typepad.com) thanks for stopping by and i can't wait to read 6 of your holiday memories or thoughts! ttys! jen t

yup your on the right blog!lol!

hi all, yup you are on the right blog! lol----i felt like giving my blog a old fashion christmas make-over. i think the change is refreshing. i was getting bored with the old template! well, since i spent most of the day messing around with christmas lights and shopping - i guess you can say i am in the holiday spirit.hope this day also finds you in the holiday spirit!just stopping on to share 2 lo's i made this week and a little giveaway i have for ya's....oh! and if you love twilight---go to bellaandedward.com to download free twilight fonts for your hybrid scrapping :)----so cool! this is my dd a couple of years ago in my mom and dads pool ok, let me explain this lo to ya..cause you are probably like what are they doing!....first of all men--- why do they do such silly things!lol!---we were at a party at my bil's house(in the summer) and their living room tv. broke and football was on. so instead of all the men going inside the teenagers room and watching it there....because it was a nice day ,they put the t.v. to the window and pulled up the patio chairs and watched it from outside....lol!!!still don't see the logic in that but i had a blast scrapping it! and now back to the holiday spirit thing....how about a little giveaway?!...you'll like it if ya like to stamp :)..how about(top picture) 4 packs of studio g clear stamps(for scrapbook pages, cards, altereds) and a flocked cover mini journal(great for altering)?...if it sounds good to you...all you have to do is post about my giveaway on your blog and come here and post your link then i will pick a winner next week. well, i have to go catch some zzz's now. so ttys! jen t.
