Club scrap lagoon blog hop

Hi all, welcome to the Lagoon blog hop! If you are hopping along then you are here from Hetty's blog. If you get lost along the way or want to start at the beginning head to Karen's post on the club scrap blog. For this months hop i am sharing with you a faux canvas i made using the lagoon kit. 

I say faux because it looks like a wrapped canvas when it's hanging.!it is a great way to upcycle too! So save those sturdy box/gift box lids to try your hand at making one.

Now because my box lid was already a beautiful glossy white similar the the paper i used I didn't have to paint the edges but for a box lid that has a color you don't want to see just paint it with acrylic paint.
I trimmed traced and trimmed the seahorse patterned paper to the size of the lid and used a liquid glue to adhere it to ensure it stays on well. I then stamped the saying onto the tan cardstock  and matted it on darkgreen cardstock then the burlap paper. Lastly, i added lots of shimmer onto the seahorses/ mermaid tail  and burlap with distressed & regular stickles- see closeup pics

Close-up  of the tail- i fussy-cut the mermaid cutapart then used the dazzlers from the kit to layer on the tail to look like scales

I am lovin that lil detail bottle with the cs binding glue in it to get in those lil spots!

Using every bit of those gorgeous teal dazzler stickers  using a mini punch i punched seashells from the edge of the sticker
sheet

Closeup - oh and don't forget you can alter embellishments to match using a alcohol marker like i did for the starfish above

Club scrap artist team Pinterest challenge

This months team challenge is Inspired by Pinterest’s newest feature, “Tried it”, the Artist Team challenge this month is to visit the Club Scrap Pinterest account, choose a Pin with a technique or tutorial that inspires you, then make pages, cards or other projects inspired by that Pin.

 The technique i pinned is the baby wipe technique. Here is the pin .

I sprayed a blue and green 

Then i took my bubble stamp and stamped it into the wipe( tip - make sure you have something protecting  your surface underneath. I  was using an old cutting mat) 

I stamped the bubble stamp on the wipe a few times then onto the paper going vertical  then added stamped mermaids along the edges

Club scrap lagoon page i entered in the creative scrappers sketchchallenge

Hi all, today i am stopping by to share a scrapbook page i made using the club scrap august lagoon kit and the creative scrappers sketch. I had sooo much fun adding details to this page. The beautiful grey rosette was a rak my crafty friend donna gave me and then i added a dazzle to the middle and tied the lil bottle that i added sequins into to the button . The circle shark fin on the top right is in the adventure aquarium symbol that i punched out of the brochure and added a enamel circle on it( my faux flair) . Then i pulled the negative sticker from the dazzlers and cut it up to add to my layers. The silver scales under shark and on the sides of my photo is ribbon from the kit. It is beautifully iridescent too. I tucked in another faux flair with the seahorse  and to add depth to my sparkle stickers from my stash i put them on white paper then cut them out so that they are not flat on the page . 12x12 page i made using the club scrap lagoon kit for the stuckchallenge

Hi all, today i am stopping by to share a 12x12 page i made using the club scrap deluxe lagoon kit.

I just love the beautiful starfish in this kit! ( i fussycut them from the beautiful kit patterned paper) The green and turquoise colors on these papers were perfect for the pic of my dd in her ariel nightgown and  red glitter cowboy boots. 

Everything i used for this page is from the lagoon kit and the burlap paper is from the clubscrap shop as well. To get your hands and everything used on my page go here.
