Hi all, welcome to the Lagoon blog hop! If you are hopping along then you are here from Hetty's
blog. If you get lost along the way or want to start at the beginning head to Karen's
post on the club scrap blog. For this months hop i am sharing with you a faux canvas i made using the lagoon kit.
I say faux because it looks like a wrapped canvas when it's hanging.!it is a great way to upcycle too! So save those sturdy box/gift box lids to try your hand at making one.
Now because my box lid was already a beautiful glossy white similar the the paper i used I didn't have to paint the edges but for a box lid that has a color you don't want to see just paint it with acrylic paint.
I trimmed traced and trimmed the seahorse patterned paper to the size of the lid and used a liquid glue to adhere it to ensure it stays on well. I then stamped the saying onto the tan cardstock and matted it on darkgreen cardstock then the burlap paper. Lastly, i added lots of shimmer onto the seahorses/ mermaid tail and burlap with distressed & regular stickles- see closeup pics
