Club scrap technique challenge to use handmade embellishments

Hi all, I am stopping by today to share a page with you that i made for the club scrap challenge that tina is hosting this month. http://clubscrap.com/0616-technique-challenge/

For this challenge we are to mAke a handmade embellishment so i made a paper mache flower using modge podge, water and scraps of paper . I dipped the paper in the glue water crumbled it up and squished and pushed it into the silicone mold.  For the best results use a deep mold and push the wet paper into every edge to get the best shape. I then let it dry overnight and rubbed gold gelato onto it for color. See pics below- 

Then i wrapped that awesome ribbon from the kit around my finger to make a ribbon nest and glued it onto paper and added my paper mache flower to the center with a paper dot to finish it. Lastly i layered and embellished the rest of my page using  all the awesome goodies from the june kit. ( alphas are from my stash)

Page i made for the stuck?! June sketch challenge

Hi all, are you loving the start of summer weather?! It finally warmed up here:) today i am stopping by to share a page i made using the june club scrap boardwalk kit and  stamps.   I had a ton of fun using this sketch and playing with the kit! So in my sewing frenzy the other day, i took a piece of the gorgeous blue and gold ribbon from the kit and sewed aribbon  circle onto white cardstock to be the starting point for my page ,then i trimmed off some of the edges of the white cardstock so that i could back it with the blue and gold stripped paper. Next,  i got to stamping some banners and swirly circles with gold onto red cardstock and cut them out to add to my layers. And layerin i did. I used cutaparts and strips of the solid and patterned papers. Then i added on the buttons, twine and wood veneer stars and tag.   Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!

Club scrap may team challenge

Hi all, today i am stopping by to share two pages i made for the club scrap may artist team challenge. For this months challenge we were asked to incorporate metal or faux metal elements to our page or project and use the club scrap creative license kit as well.

So i decided that i am kinda in love with the turquoise in this kit so you will see it in all my pages this month. For this page i thought it would be neat to cut the license plate patterned paper into a shape to put in the center of the white cardstock and build layers and cutaparts under the picture and then for my title i used the black india ink and stamped the ur and amazing onto turquoise paper. Lastly i added the cute metal key and chain around my diy flair to my page for some metallic elements.

For this page below i started out with the white cardstock , turquoise spray ink and the celebrate stencil from a past cs kit but the ink sorta smeared but i liked it:) sometimes we make happy mistakes.  Then I cutout of the patterened paper those cool wheels and layered them atound my pic adding pop dots to a couple for dimension. For my metallic elements i too the brads and added them to the center of the wheels along with some extra metal stickers i had in my stash.  Then i took some ribbon and buckles from the kit and tied them into a bow and put at the corner of the picture.

Oh then i stamped out the saying with black ink on white cardstock and cut it out and lastly added some more black ink splots around my page with faux stitching as a border.

Hi sorry i have been MIA!

Hi all, sorry i have been MIA! 

So it started about two weeks ago my dh was on vacation we started out that week good getting much needed chores done then my mother in law who has been fighting an infection in her knee took a turn for the worst:(  her body gave a good fight but couldn't fight thru it this time cause the infection had spread to her kidneys and her breathing. Last sunday i lost my mother in law barbara. She was a sweet lady that loved her sons and grandkids very much ! We loved her very much! On this past friday we had a memorial for her and the service was beautiful! We will miss her dearly! This week i planned on gettin so many things done but then my lil girl got sick last night ( i am writing this post while i am sitting on her bed trying to get her to sleep) and that postponed that plan too. Tomm is my lil guys birthday and i have throw together his presents ect.yet.   I feel like time has been blurred lately. Ever have felt like that?!  Last time i felt like this is when we lost my mom almost 8 yrs ago. Ughh!! I really need crafty therapy stat!! 

I am sorry I haven't had any papercraft projects as of yet . I hope mack feels better soon ! I know i am rambling on... Well, here's hopes to creative time. Wishing you creative time too! Thanks for stopping by and checking in on me and for listening !

My page for the club scrap technique challenge

Hi all , Sorry i have been MIA the last couple weeks . My mother-in-law has been very sick and passed away and needless to say it has been a rough couple weeks. I am hoping to get back in the groove next week and share more projects that i made with this amazing club scrap creative license kit and stamps. So for this page i joined the technique challenge at the club scrap blog . This months challenge is the patina look. So i got a lil painty and got to it. I used the white cardstock from the kit to diecut a floral design from my cricut then i layed it onto my pink nonstick mat and added gold pAint then dabbed antique brown next i dabbed blue paint til i got my faux patina and then added lots of layers of papers and cut-aparts from the kit and even gave a lil texture to the page with some sewing and diy flair. 

It was a super fun challenge!! Thanks for stopping bu and happy creating!!
