A lil embossing magic Using the lfl may card kit

Hi all, thanks for stopping by! So glad you are here! Today we are talking embossing. I have to admit it has been a long time since i embossed. I called on my lfl friends to refresh my memory of the tools i needed to heat emboss. Tools you need is a heat gun, sticky ink i used versa mark, a stamp and embossing powder( hint-the last two come in the may cardkit ;) )....so i got right to work i stamp and embossed a bunch of flowers and leaves. To save myself time and not to have to color some in i stamped and embossed on patterned paper to give my images color and depth. Check out some pics here:

After i embossed them i fussycut them all out and set them aside to be ready to decorate my cards with another day. 

I forgot how magical heat embossing is. Make sure to give it a try if you haven’t already.

A lil of my lfl kit process and some stenciling

Hi all, thanks for being here. Today, i
 am stopping by to share with you some of the process i use when creating with my love from lizi kits then we can talk stencils.  Since i am a momma of three and a multitasker i find that working with a kit is so fun! So to maximize my time and creative energy i work on my cards in stages. First after i ooh and ahh over all the pretties in the box i separate it all out. Next i will take all the solid cardstock in the kit and make my card bases. Then, i will take the stamps i want to use and stamp them all out and do any embossing at this point too. Next i look at all the pretty pattern papers and do all my fussy cutting .(these steps are usually done over a few days time doing one task a day) i lastly add all my goodies to a organizer tray so that i can make and assemble cards.  Moving on, i would love to share what i made with the kit stencil.after i stamped and embossed my flowers, I just took

 a red and pink oxide and smudged it through the stencil then added water to blend the colors what was left was a beautiful coral flower. 

Then I took my ink that was left on the stencil and smooshed it onto pieces of white card stock to use as my background for future cards.

Here are the ones i made with the ink smooshed from the stencil onto the white cardstock :

The smooshing was so fun and it inspired those pretty cards.

Love from lizi april cardkit cards ans a embossing folder technique

hi all, today I am popping on to share with you some fun cards I made using the April  Love From Lizi Card Kit. Unfortunately, it is not available any longer but there are other awesome goodies to buy and signups for the next kit there. so be sure to head here.

April Love from l;izi card kit

here are some of the cards I made with the kit. look for another post soon with the rest of the cards I made and how I used the cut aparts to make shaped cards.


These are all A2 size cards

For this card i used the fun plaid pattern paper then layered on a cutaprt with stickers to make my sentiment ,tied a triple ribbon around the fold and added sequins for some bling

Smile card- i embossed white paper then rolled the top edge , i then adhered it to the green cardbase and tucked a piece of diecut frame( frame die that came with kit) 

Next i diecut more frames with pattern paper and popdotted the middles for dimension and added them to the bottom of the card. Lastly i added burlap flowers on top 

Enjoy the ride card was fun to make . For some reason that dash paper reminded me of a road so i used that to make a base for the bicycle cutapart to rest on then added sticker to the card to finsh it

For this pretty butterfly card i adde strips of the plaid border stickers under the butterfly cutapart, that was matted with the script pattern paper and stamped you are and added that to the butterfly centers to make my sentiment then  added a heart sticker

Fothis butterfly card i used the cutapart again and added pieces of burlap tag to the sides  along with layering the patterned paper and adding stamped words to the top 

so, here is how I made the fun bird background without a embossing machine

I took out my pink oxide ink and used my inker to spread the ink on the raised side of the folder then I took my cut apart paper from the kit and flipped it over . then I closed the folder while ink was still wet and rubbed the top with my hand . when I took the paper out, it was stamped with the birds in pink. I just loved how it came out! see pics below.

I then picked out some fun sticker from the kit sticker sheet and layered to make a scene on the card. I pop dotted the big word sticker and the bicycle sticker to add dimension.

For this card i fussy cut out the typewriter image fromthe cart apart sheet that came in the kit adhered  it ontop of a A2 size black card base then recut it out keeping the top fold uncut. I then added some stickers and a bulap flower to pretty it up. 

Inside of typewriter card 

Camara card- strip of camara pattern paper  ,added a popdotted sticker camara on top then peeloffs on the edges with sequins in the corners  

This card was super simple - i embossed the grey shimmer paper with the bird embossing folder then i adhered it to the pink cardbase ; added two diecut birds cut from patterned paper using the die that came with the kit and adhered one above the happy wood veneer word and one below ,then added sequins to the top keft corner and under the word birthday . Oh, for birthday i just cut random letters

 from other cutaparts and glued them next to each other to spell birthday

 

For the jar and camara card i did the same thing as the typewriter just adding lil embellies and nuvo drops to add dimension.
