club scrap july team challenge blog hop

Hi all, thanks for being here! If you are hopping along with us then you are here from Josette's blog or if you want to start from the beginning head to Karen's club scrap post here .
This months team challenge is to make pages, cards, or other projects featuring a “frame” (or frames) designed using rubber stamps or stencils. For my page all papers and stamps used are from the vintage botany deluxe kit. Below are pics of some of my page process. I had a blast using this beautiful kit!

Framed rose stamp - i stamped it two times to make the mat for the two pics of my daughter
I stamped the two large floral stamps in the middle of my page

For the frame around the pics i used the club scrap Literature stencil and black india ink-
To make the frame larger than the stencil i had i dabbed ink at the tip half way down then slid the stencil and only inked the sides then moved again inking the bottom half - i used stickles and liquid pearls for some peach accents and shimmer along with ink splats and squins

12 x 12  page

Close-up----the strips of paper are from the cutaparts sheet and the lace is also from the kit . The peach crochet  doily is  from an old shirt i had( everything has craft potential in my mind.. lol! ) that i cut apart and the butterfly was a rak from a crafty friend

I used the creative scrappers sketch to inspire my page design. Check out pics of my page below and thanks for stopping by!happy creating!  Jen t:)

Winter blooms club scrap page using stuck sketch

Hi all, sorry I haven't done a normal blogpost since last month! Summer break has been keeping me busy! I am ready for school to start again. I am pooped! Lol! Today, i am sharing with you a page i made with the club scrap july vintage botany kit and i used the stuck sketches july sketch as well.
12 x12 page
For the base i used the light yellow floral graph pattern and added plum cardstock to the left and bottom corner to balance the page. I also, matted the photos in plum cardstock.
Then since the sketch called for a large title i dug into my alpha stickers stash and found large white thickers. The white stickers were just too bright so i rubbed brown and plum ink on them to customize the color. While digging i found gold thickers swirls and they were exactly what i was looking for to frame the pics and title:) next, i added the layers on the top with the plum ribbon and offwhite cutapart with a lil punched flower and pearl. Lastly i added a wooden button from the kit and flower from my stash. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!! Check out the pics below and to get your hands on the vintage botany kit go here

Club scrap june team challenge blog hop

Hi all, welcome to the club scrap team challenge blog hop . To hop along with us or if you get lost along the way head to club scraps blog for Karen's post to get the blog links or start from the beginning. If you are hopping along from the start then you are here from the talented  josette's blog. This months team challenge we were to use just one photo and one piece of paper and embellishments could be used. For my page i used one of the gorgeous cutapart sheets from June 's pattern play kit as a whole paper because i loved the sayings and the grid design. So i thought i would make this page all about texture since I couldn't do my usual layering( you all know i love layers) i found a pic of my son hanging out in our backyard evergreen tree that i had printed in black and white and 2x3  to put on one of the cutaparts in the grid design. Then in the far right of the paper i cut two slits to wrap the green ribbon around and secured it with washi tape on the backside. i then stamped leaf pattern stamp with india ink on the top of the ribbon. Next i hand stiched ombre black/ grey embroidery floss in between all the blocks. On the middle leaf I didn't want that word to show so i stamped the same leaf stamp right over the word and then glued the green feather over it. I also added another green feather over onto the left as well to make my green visual  triangle.  Lastly i added the matte enamel dots to some of the designs as centers for more interest. Next be sure to hop to the talented
Hetty's blog to see her awesome project. Check out my page below and some close-ups

Cws June fruit challenge #15

Hi all, today i am sharing with you a card i made for the creative with stamps june challenge. The challenge this month is fruit. I have a ton of stamps and thought this would be easy to find in my stash but apparently I don't have as many fruit stamps as I thought. I did however find one cherry stamp in a raisin boat birthday cupcake stamp set i had and ran with it. I stamped the cherry randomly  on a big piece of cardstock to make a background with it to make two cards( you will have to wait til the middle of the month to see the other card ;)) i then used my red prima oil pastel and a waterbrush to color them in. I added some shimmer glue to the cherries along with a thinking of you stamp  popped with foam tape . Lastly, i added ribbon and sequins to finish it . To join the challenge go here

Club scrap may team challenge

Hi all, welcome to the club scrap team challenge bloghop!  If you are hopping with us then you are here from Josette's blog  or if you want to start at the beginning head to Karens club scrap post

For our team challenge this month we were to mesh together papers and or stamps from two different kits. For my page below i used the embossed winter wonderland paper and added blue to it using my blue prima oil pastels to make it match the Adirondack papers i used. I then layered on the Adirondack cardstock and papers to frame my family selfie pic. ( we took this picture on the boardwalk in ocean city, new jersey) the arrow strip is a cutapart from the kit and the larger arrows i used the stencil with a tan oil pastel and doodle traced it in a gold gelpen. Lastly i added the twine at the top and added the date in the center under a metal label holder from the kit as well.

First, i started with a  black A2 card base and i put my digital stamp on a 4x6 format and printed it out. Then i colored the image with my spectrum nior's and added a lil shimmer pen to my image and adhered it to the cardbase.  Lastly, i punched butterflies from patterned paper and added some bling to finish them. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

creative with stamps baby card challenge#13

Hi all, happy spring! I hope spring is finally finding you where you are at because i think it is finally here in new jersey :) today i am stopping by to share two cards i made for the creative with stamps challenge blog dt. I am super excited to be apart of this talented team! The challenge theme this month is baby and it is their blogs 1st anniversary too. Make sure you link up your baby cards there for a chance to win some awesome prizes!

boy card

girl card

For these 4.25" x 5.5" cards i started with a white card blank and used the plastic packaging technique with various green and pink inks to make a separate boy and girl card using simliar items i had in my stash. The lil baby clothesline clothes are from a old see d's stamp set i have and i used my spectrum noir markers to match. I then glued some twine, doily , and sequins to add a sparkly touch. Oh and the welcome is stamped with my enormous stampin'up rotary stamp that i love to make custom words with. Lastly, to finish it off i inked the edges of them both.

Club scrap artist team challenge blog hop

hi all, welcome to the team challenge blog hop! if you are hopping along with us then you are here  from  hetty's blog.  if you get lost along the way or want to start from the beginning head to karens post at  the club scrap blog

For the team challenge we were asked to incorporate the club scrap digital elements into our project. I kinda had some printer issues and the first few pages i tried to print printed in black and white then after fiddling with my printer setting i got it to print in color and then my computer froze ... yada yada i have three colored copies of the same page and ran out of ink.. lol!

digital elements printed on computer paper

So what to do with multiples. Make a background. Since my page was about sewing i sewed the printed cutaparts out and made the background. I added some matted layers to my photo and added my title. It was sew much fun ;)
